“Fabulous nights stay at Ashley House…”

What a cracking bed and breakfast! Arrived late and left early but owners very friendly and welcoming and the rooms absolutely fab. Really comfy beds with luxury linen and bedding. Great free wifi.

Spotlessly clean and how lovely to have all the personal touches like a cafetiere, bottled water and really nice bathroom shampoos and bodywash etc.

Simply can’t fault Ashley House…

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

“Affordable weekend getaway ”

We stayed here as part of a buy a gift deal we needed to use up in October. We arrived quite late but were still welcomed by the owners who showed us up to our room and helped with bags. We upgraded to the larger room, I don’t know what the others were like but ours was gorgeous! Really tastefully decorated and comfortable, and I loved the Ashley House toiletries left in the bathroom. Breakfast was also without fault. This was the perfect base for us to explore North Devon and the surroundings. We also went to the local market for a browse, and found the advice on local pubs really helpful so went to one of those on the evening too. Thanks for a great weekend, we’ve recommended to family who love Devon to visit too!

“Outstanding”

Stayed for a weekend in March. Offered a free upgrade to the largest room, which was luxurious and would have been well worth paying for. Easily best accommodation in South Molton area and still reasonably priced.

“Very Stylish indeed :)”

We stayed here over a weekend in mid-March while visiting family locally.

It’s a really well-placed location – central to the town but amazingly quiet. Plenty of garden space to roam in, too, as well as off-road private parking.

The rooms are well-appointed and decorated with subdued but subtle colours: something like the Hotel du Vin chain in style – old-world smart and spotlessly clean: very good indeed. All the gels and soaps are sourced locally – great scents and feel.

Nicky and Jamie, the owners, are also incredibly welcoming (as is their very lovely 4-year old golden retriever called Cassie) – and Nicky’s breakfast is just fabulous: all local produce and cooked healthily – a real treat! Probably the best sausages I’ve ever been given!

Thank you both so much for a really delightful stay with you – we’ll be back!

Room Tip: Doesn’t matter – they’re all very peaceful!

“Beautiful B&B”

Worth every penny, excellent service, very well presented and breakfast is good. Highly recommended whether traveling on your own or with a friend/partner. Location is good, with some lovely shops around, but also well located to see other parts of north Devon

“Now even better than excellent.”

We had the smaller (executive) upstairs room which looks out to the back garden. This was even quieter than the supersized front room with the mini-suite, and just as wonderfully comfortable, and we had 2 wonderful nights. Everything, bar none, was up to scratch, room, warmth, en-suite (quietest most efficient shower ever), amazing selection of soaps, shampoo, conditioners, comprehensive room tea facilities, and the breakfast was totally perfect with the cooked breakfast now occupying first place in my personal “English” Breakfast list since all the components were all fresh and locally sourced, with that delicious taste reminiscent of breakfasts of 40 years ago.

Room Tip: Front room bigger but occasional sounds, back room quiet and peaceful, both excellent.

“ A real find”

We had been looking for somewhere to stay in this area for a number of weeks and we were not disappointed when we found Ashley House.
Nicky and Jamie are the perfect hosts. Very friendly, polite and helpfull.
The rooms are beautifully decorated and the cleanliness second to none.
The lovely breakfast sets you up for the day. It appears Nicky and Jamie have thought of everything, down to the last detail.
The secure parking at the rear of house is a huge bonus.
We are returning with friends for a two night stay in March

“Warm welcome, Great visual and physical comfort”

I recommend Ashley House wholeheartedly. The hosts have done a great job of integrating modern comforts with the dignity an old property deserves. Our room was large enough to move around in and the bed was supremely comfortable. There was a wonderful little tea/coffee corner with a view of the front lawn. This young couple obviously love their new lifestyle and this love is reflected in many thoughtful touches. And … the breakfast was fabulous
